We are searching for a talented and motivated Operations Coordinator to support with the organisation’s activities.
Activities will include focusing on the key pillars of Afrolynk – Innovate , connect and Accelerate.
As the Operations Coordinator, you should be well-organised and possess a sound knowledge about the African- European startup ecosystem.
Excellent communication and attention to detail skills are vital in this role, as our success depends on meeting our partner’s tailored requirements.

 

Responsibilites

Assist in the designing and implementing business operations and strategy.
Support planning and coordination of the Afrolynk programmes and its activities.
Liaise with partners in the ecosystem, entrepreneurs, policy makers, investors and other key stakeholders.
Coordinate activities and programs with all divisions within the organization and communicate with partners
Manage all event set-up, tear down and follow-up processes together with Event manager and team
Have strong knowledge in administrative and reporting tasks to German officials,
Have the ability to research and secure funding opportunities
Manage and Maintain programme budgets, follow up on payments and contracts in a timely manner, and creating comprehensive and readable financial reports
Creating effective communication and promotional materials for each activity in collaboration with the media team.

 

Requirements

o Strong interest and experience in the discourse around technology, startups and entrepreneurship
o Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
o Understanding “startup talk and needs” with outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
o Well-organized with excellent multi-tasking abilities
o Excellent communication and presentation skills
o Independent, detail-oriented & open-minded .Learner’s mindset, strong work ethic, a sense of humor
o At least 3 years’ experience within the field
o Knowledge about the German administrative task and running a foundation is a key essential for the position
o Knowledge about the startup ecosystems in Africa is very important for the position.
