Afrolynk was founded in 2016 by Moses Acquah, a Ghanaian-born technology leader (ex-Nokia, ex-Microsoft Ghana), and officially registered in Germany in 2018.

From one conference in Berlin to a community with an always-on global outlook.
Afrolynk was founded by Moses Acquah in Berlin, starting out with a focus on providing expert support to young African entrepreneurs and hosting the first annual Afrolynk Conference.
The Afrolynk Conference was hosted at Microsoft Berlin, with workshops and pitch sessions across Fintech, HealthTech and Renewable Energy.
Afrolynk was officially registered in Germany and expanded far beyond Berlin — activating the community across Ghana, Finland and pan-European partnerships.
The 4th edition grew into a full week of capacity-building — workshops, ecosystem tours and a Startup Night — under the theme “Strategic Partnerships for Sustainable Growth”, held in September at Microsoft Berlin.
As the pandemic reshaped the world, the Afrolynk Conference moved online — broadening international participation and launching #AfrolynkExpertLive sessions that kept the community connected year-round.
Afrolynk is evolving from an event-led community into a year-round Africa–global innovation platform — with the Ventures Studio, Lynkspace Hub and Factory24, plus digital community, diaspora intelligence and venture building across Africa, Europe, the Americas and Asia.
